Job Description
On behalf of our client, we are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Material Engineer to oversee the selection, testing, and quality control of construction materials for infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all materials used meet required standards, specifications, and project requirements.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Inspect and test construction materials (soil, asphalt, concrete, aggregates)
- Ensure materials comply with project specifications and industry standards
- Conduct laboratory and field tests to assess material quality
- Prepare and review material reports and technical documentation
- Monitor material usage and advise on suitability and performance
- Coordinate with project engineers, contractors, and suppliers
- Identify material defects and recommend corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Material Engineering, or related field
- Must be a registered professional engineer.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in construction or road projects
- Strong knowledge of construction materials and testing procedures
- Experience in laboratory and site testing
- Familiarity with engineering standards and specifications
- Strong analytical and report writing skills
