PROCUREMENT OFFICER
Job Description
On behalf of our client in the construction industry, we are seeking a qualified and experienced Procurement Officer to oversee and manage all procurement activities. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing construction materials, negotiating with suppliers, and ensuring timely and cost-effective procurement in line with project requirements and company policies.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
· Manage end-to-end procurement processes for construction materials, equipment, and services
· Source, evaluate, and select reliable suppliers and vendors
· Negotiate pricing, contracts, and delivery terms to achieve cost savings
· Ensure timely procurement and delivery of materials to meet project deadlines
· Prepare and process purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records
· Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site teams and project managers
· Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements
· Track procurement activities and prepare reports for management
· Maintain strong relationships with suppliers and resolve any procurement-related issues
· Utilize procurement and supply chain management systems effectively
Qualifications & Requirements
· Bachelor’s Degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management or related field
· Minimum of 2 years’ experience in procurement, preferably in the construction industry
· Proficiency in computer applications, especially Advanced Microsoft Excel
· Experience with procurement or ERP systems is an added advantage
· Excellent negotiation and communication skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
