Job Description
On behalf of our client we are seeking for a procurement officerwho is not just a buyer; but a Guardian of Quality, Cost, and Supply Integrity. Your primary purpose is to ensure BML has a reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality supply of goods, especially our exclusive import brands, while upholding the highest standards of ethical sourcing and transparency that our company is known for, this role requires a sharp negotiator, a meticulous record-keeper, and a professional who understands that the integrity of our supply chain is fundamental to our promise of control and peace of mind for our clients.
Requirements
Strategic Sourcing and Cost Optimization
- Local Sourcing: Proactively identify, evaluate, and qualify potential suppliers and manufacturers to ensure they meet BML’s stringent quality and ethical standards.
- Negotiation Excellence: Lead all procurement negotiations to secure the most favorable terms, pricing, and payment conditions, ensuring the best possible value without compromising on quality or reliability.
- Market Intelligence: Continuously analyze the local market trends, commodity prices, and supply chain risks to make informed, cost-effective purchasing decisions that maintain our competitive edge.
- Supplier Relationship and Performance Management
- Partnership Building: Cultivate and maintain strong, professional, and ethical relationships with key suppliers and vendors, ensuring a steady, reliable, and consistent supply of all required goods.
- Performance Monitoring: Implement and manage a supplier performance evaluation system based on key metrics such as quality, delivery time, compliance, and cost effectiveness.
- Ethical Sourcing: Act as a champion for BML’s integrity by ensuring all procurement activities are conducted with complete transparency and adherence to our ethical sourcing policies.
Inventory and Documentation Control
- Purchase Order Management: Generate, track, and manage all Purchase Orders (POs) accurately and efficiently, ensuring alignment with inventory needs and budget allocations.
- Meticulous Record Keeping: Maintain comprehensive and organized records of all purchases, pricing agreements, supplier contracts, and quality certifications. This is vital for BML’s commitment to transparency and audit readiness.
- Budget Management: Prepare and manage the procurement budget, ensuring all purchasing decisions align with financial forecasts and cost control objectives.

Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: A minimum of years of proven work experience in a Procurement Management role, preferably within the FMCG, HORECA, or Import/Distribution sectors.
- Age: years and above.
